I was recently given the link to the Origami Club,
a great origami website. Unlike many such websites, it’s easy to navigate and well organised. The designs are arranged in categories such as “Fun origami”, “Animals and birds”, “Christmas”, etc. Each has easy to follow diagrams, and many also have large, clear animations on how to make the design, including speed and pause functions so that you can fold as you watch. The site also has free printable paper designs, so that you can print the designs and match them to each design. These printable paper designs include specialised patterns for certain different origami designs, e.g. the Paper Fan.

The origami designs are also rated by difficulty using a simple star system. Designs available include useful ones such as slippers, hats, boxes; Designs for specific holidays like Christmas, Tanabata and Valentine’s Day and cute designs for little animals, clothes, items of food etc. It’s great to get such a useful site in English. There are also cute photos of the finished products, and in cases where these are practical items (e.g. Photo Album) they are usually taken in conext.
The pictures used in this post are from the Origami Club website, visit there to see the originals as well as details on how to make these and many more designs!
